Description

Siemens HiPath 3800 & OpenScape X8 Powered Unit LUNA2 (Line Powered Unit based Network Architecture no. 2) is used as the central power supply in HiPath 3800 & OpenScape X8.

Depending on the system can expand up to three LUNA2 modules in the Base Box and up to four Luna2 modules are used in the Expansion Box.

– Output Voltage: (charging voltage for batteries if a LUNA2 is used as a battery charger.):  -54.7 VDC -53.5 VDC

For OpenScape Business X8 and HiPath 3800

• Basic box: (max. 9 peripheral modules) Max. 3 x LUNA2: The first LUNA2 supplies the mainboard and max. 4 peripheral modules, a second LUNA2 is required from the 5th peripheral module. If one of the first 4 modules is a STMI2, SLMA or SLCN, the 2nd LUNA2 is required before the limit value is reached. UPS/Battery operation always requires another LUNA2.
• Expansion Box: (max. 13 peripheral modules) Max. 4 x LUNA2: The first LUNA2 supplies max. 4 peripheral modules, from 5-9 peripheral modules a second LUNA2 is required, from 10 peripheral modules a third LUNA2 is required. If the first 4 peripheral modules contain a STMI2, SLMA or SLCN, the 2nd LUNA2 is required beforehand and the 3rd LUNA2 is required from the 5th peripheral module onwards. UPS/Battery operation always requires another LUNA2.
